Direct Support Caregiver Job Details
Located in Somerset, KY
  • Work Schedule & Compensation Details
Shift Availability Requirements:
  • Must have open availability for 2nd and/or 3rd shift
  • Weekend availability is required
  • Scheduled to work two consecutive weekends, with the third weekend off
Shift Hours:
  • 1st Shift: 6:45 PM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 2:45 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 10:45 PM – 7:00 AM
Overtime:
  • Overtime is possible and may be mandated as necessary
Compensation:
  • HS Diploma/GED $17.83
  • Associate degree, CNA, CMA, RBT $18.40
  • Bachelor’s degree $18.96
  • Shift Differential Pay: Offered for 2nd and 3rd shifts
  • Weekend Premium: Additional $1.00 per hour on weekends
Direct Support Caregiver Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable operating transportation.
Direct Support Caregiver Job Description:
  • Provide Round-the-Clock Care & Supervision:
Ensure continuous care and supervision of residents with developmental disabilities, attending to their physical and emotional needs.
  • Assist with Daily Living Skills:
Aid residents with various activities, including hygiene, home management, leisure activities, and essential living skills to promote independence.
  • Support Safe Transfers:
Assist with transferring residents between different equipment, ensuring their safety and comfort during the process.
  • Adhere to Regulations & Policies:
Follow and maintain all federal and state regulations as well as facility policies to ensure quality care and compliance with standards.
  • Ensure Safety & Rights of Residents:
Safeguard the well-being, safety, and rights of clients, maintaining a secure and respectful environment for all individuals under care.
  • Document Care & Progress:
Complete and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on each shift, including records of resident care, interactions, and progress as required by the facility.
