Warehouse Maintenance Specialist Job Details
Indianapolis, IN
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Warehouse Maintenance Specialist Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of maintenance experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in welding, plumbing, and basic electrical work
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Commitment to safety and following established procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, repair, and replace warehouse equipment as needed
- Perform basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs
- Support general building maintenance and facility upkeep
- Order and manage parts, tools, and maintenance supplies
- Track inventory of critical spare parts
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes
- Implement corrective and preventative maintenance solutions
- Coordinate with vendors and equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues
- Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules
- Partner with production teams to minimize downtime
- Perform hands-on tasks such as welding, drilling, tapping, and bending
- Maintain organized work areas and follow 5S standards
- Complete maintenance documentation and reports accurately and on time
