Schedule: 10–12 hour shifts (day and night availability required)

About the Role
Crown Staffing is hiring a Temporary Compounding Operations Technician to support manufacturing operations in Winchester, KY. In this role, you will operate and monitor compounding equipment, assist with production processes, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who enjoys working in a technical, process-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate compounding equipment, including tanks, piping, and related systems
- Monitor process conditions and adjust settings to support production goals
- Complete batch records, logbooks, and production documentation accurately
- Add chemicals and materials according to process requirements and calculations
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process issues
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas
- Identify and report safety or quality concerns
- Stop production when critical issues are identified
- Assist with SOP updates and process improvements
- Support training of team members when needed
- Communicate production updates and collaborate with internal teams
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with accurate documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and follow SOPs
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Forklift experience preferred (certification a plus)
- Experience in plastics, compounding, or similar manufacturing environments preferred
Work Environment
- Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, fumes, airborne particles, and moving equipment
- Varying temperatures depending on production area
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Occasional work in a shared office/control room environment
