Job Description
Our client is looking for a Lab Technician for their Chicago facility.
1st shift Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Pay rate will be $23/hr
Responsibilities:
The Lab Technician supports construction materials testing by preparing concrete test batches, performing standardized property tests, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment. This role ensures accurate results for quality control, engineering, and production teams.
Requirements for Lab Technician
- 3 years’ experience in a laboratory, industrial, construction, or hands-on technical environment.
- Prior experience using computers and spreadsheet software
- Prior experience in a construction materials testing laboratory or familiarity with ASTM/ACI testing procedures.
- 1+ years experience performing quality testing or quality audits.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Knowledge of chemical mixing/batching preferred.
