Crown Staffing is now hiring a CDL class B driver for a local manufacturing company to do local deliveries!

Monday – Friday | 8am – 4:30pm | $25

CDL Class B Driver Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B
Air brake and hazardous material endorsement required (or ability to obtain within first 6 months)
Minimum 1+ years of straight-truck CDL Class B driving experience or truck driving academy completion
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Valid DOT medical exam card with drug screen dated within the last 24 months
Driving record with 2 or fewer violations in a 36-month period
Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations
Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred
HAZMAT training and safety training preferred

About the CDL Class B Driver Role

As a CDL Class B Driver, your responsibilities will include:

Delivering batteries to customers on time while following a pre-established weekly route schedule
Loading trucks efficiently according to delivery stops and weight distribution requirements
Assisting with unloading deliveries at each customer stop
Picking up returned product, marking correctly, and placing returns in designated areas
Ensuring outgoing and return loads are secure and compliant with DOT HAZMAT guidelines
Reporting violations, fines, accidents, or incidents immediately to the Lombard office
Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and documenting any deficiencies
Completing daily logs including start/stop time, mileage, and fuel records using the ELD system
Maintaining truck cleanliness and keeping the cargo area neat and organized
Operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling tools
Following all Crown Battery rules, DOT regulations, and HAZMAT procedures
Supporting warehouse operations as needed
