Mon-Thurs 5am-3:30pm Tues-Friday 5am-3:30am 25-30/hr (DOE)
CNC Machinist Requirements
● Proven experience in a CNC machining role with a heavy emphasis on conversational programming.
● Deep understanding of speeds, feeds, material properties, and cutting tool selection.
● Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks in a production environment.
● Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and willing to work overtime as required by production schedules.
● Strong shop math skills.
About the CNC Machinist Role
As a CNC Machinist, your responsibilities will include:
● Directly input geometry, tooling, and machining parameters into the CNC controller (e.g., Fanuc, Mazatrol, or similar) to generate machine paths.
● Perform machine set-up, including tool selection, fixture preparation, and work offset calibration.
● Read and interpret complex technical drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). and engineering specifications.
● Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure compliance with specifications; make necessary offset or program adjustments to maintain tolerances.
● Diagnose and rectify machining issues (tool wear, chatter, finish quality) during production runs.
● Manage quick-turnaround jobs by efficiently using conversational canned cycles and pre-programmed settings.
● Perform routine machine preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
