Crate Assembler Job Details
Sunday – Thursday | Full-Time | $23.00 – $24.00/hr 
  • Overtime possible and mandatory
Crate Assembler Requirements
  • 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse, construction, carpentry, crating, or related role
  • Experience using power tools including drills, circular saws, nail guns, and other woodworking equipment
  • Experience building custom pallets, crates, or similar structures required
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, work orders, and customer specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with picking, packing, and shipping operations
  • Forklift experience preferred
About the Crate Assembler Role
As a Crate Assembler, your responsibilities will include:
  • Building custom wooden crates, pallets, and shipping containers for domestic and international shipments
  • Using drills, circular saws, nail guns, and other hand and power tools to fabricate shipping materials
  • Packaging machinery, strapping heads, and other large or irregularly shaped products for shipment
  • Reading shipping notices, work orders, and customer specifications to ensure shipment accuracy
  • Picking, packing, and preparing finished goods for customer delivery
  • Operating forklifts and material handling equipment to transport products throughout the warehouse
  • Assisting with loading and unloading inbound and outbound freight shipments
  • Providing accurate dimensions and weight information for LTL and truckload shipments
  • Coordinating shipping priorities with management and Supply Chain teams
  • Consolidating outgoing orders according to shipping schedules and customer requirements
  • Managing inventory levels of crating materials, lumber, pallets, and shipping supplies
  • Verifying customer order information including purchase orders, shipping addresses, routing instructions, and quantities
  • Supporting domestic, international, expedited, distributor, service, and repair center shipments
  • Signing for incoming freight deliveries when required
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Following all company policies, warehouse procedures, and safety standards
