Job Description
Crown Staffing is looking for an experienced Warehouse Shipping Supervisor. The responsibilities will include overseeing daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient movement of goods. This role leads warehouse staff, enforces safety and quality standards, and coordinates with internal teams and carriers to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead shipping and receiving staff, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management
- Oversee daily outbound and inbound shipments to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company procedures
- Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve shipping issues and meet delivery requirements
- Ensure proper documentation for shipments, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels
- Monitor workflow and labor allocation to meet productivity and efficiency targets
- Enforce warehouse safety standards and company policies; conduct regular safety checks
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and audits
- Identify process improvements to reduce errors, costs, and shipping delays
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software to track shipments and performance metrics
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and disciplinary actions as needed
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in shipping and receiving operations
- Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, freight carriers, and logistics documentation
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team in a fast-paced environment
- Solid organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Ability to operate or oversee the operation of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Comfortable using warehouse management systems and basic computer applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with inventory control and continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and warehouse safety standards
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications a plus
Work Environment
- Warehouse setting with regular standing, walking, lifting, and use of material-handling equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required
