Operate heavy equipment, including wheel loaders, to move, load, and stage raw materials, steel plate, pallets, and finished products in a safe and efficient manner.

Manipulate equipment controls (pedals, levers, joysticks, and switches) to regulate speed, direction, and material handling according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.

Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift inspections of wheel loaders and other mobile equipment; identify defects, report malfunctions to supervision, and complete required inspection and shift reports.

Clean and maintain heavy equipment and surrounding work areas to ensure safe operating conditions.

Assist with material handling using additional equipment such as telehandlers, forklifts, or similar mobile machinery as needed.

Conduct visual inspections of raw materials, including taking samples, recording material characteristics, and verifying receiving documentation.

Communicate with management regarding inventory levels, material movement, and raw material selection.

Maintain proper housekeeping in and around operational and production areas.

Assist maintenance personnel with equipment upkeep and complete maintenance work orders as required.

Perform daily inspections of lifting devices (chains, hooks, slings, wire rope) to ensure fitness for use.

Utilize hand tools, cutting torches, plasma cutters, and welding equipment as required for production or material handling tasks.

Support various tasks within the manufacturing process, including the production of helical steel pipe.

Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Wheel loader operating experience required.

Previous experience operating heavy or mobile equipment in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Ability to work in changing ambient temperatures.

Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods of time.

Strong attention to safety and ability to recognize hazardous conditions.

Steel-toe boots and sleeved shirts required (employee responsibility).

Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, and protective gloves provided by the company.
