About the Role
Crown Staffing is hiring an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations in Indianapolis, IN. This role focuses on driving safety, quality, and productivity while managing team performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team to improve safety, quality, and productivity
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Plan and schedule production to meet operational goals
- Coordinate workflows with other departments
- Supervise and support up to 30 production employees
- Adjust staffing levels based on production needs
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions
- Monitor performance and drive efficiency improvements
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Work additional hours or weekends as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic math skills
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of machinery and packaging equipment
- Understanding of quality systems (ISO9001 preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing a plus
- Ability to use measurement tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
