Forklift Operator Job Details
Frankfort, KY
Pay: $17.00/hour
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 2nd Shift | 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
- 3rd Shift | 12:00 AM – 8:30 AM
Overtime: Possible on Saturdays and Sundays; may be mandatory
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Forklift Operator Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous forklift experience required
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience in material handling and warehouse operations
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation
- Ability to accurately read and interpret work orders and pick lists
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Steel-toed shoes required
- Long sleeve shirt required
- Full-length pants required
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products throughout the facility
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
- Perform order picking and material movement based on production and shipping needs
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track and locate inventory
- Support production operations as needed
- Perform repetitive lifting of up to 30 pounds
- Bend, stoop, stand, and move throughout the shift
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with additional warehouse and production duties as assigned
