CDL Yard Driver Job Details
Frankfort, KY
Pay: $22.00/hour
Schedule: 8-Hour and 12-Hour Shifts Available
Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
CDL Yard Driver Requirements
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL required
- Previous yard driving, tractor-trailer, or commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate a yard tractor and move trailers throughout the facility
- Strong attention to safety and situational awareness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow company procedures and DOT regulations
- Farming, agriculture, or lumber yard experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a specialized yard tractor to move trailers and containers throughout the yard
- Position trailers accurately for loading, unloading, and storage
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report maintenance concerns
- Follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations
- Communicate with warehouse, shipping, and production teams to support daily operations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
- Assist with general yard duties as needed
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Support efficient material flow and transportation within the facility
- Perform additional duties as assigned
