Registered Nurse (RN) – Oral Surgery Job Details
Lexington, KY
Pay: $32.00 – $35.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday
Position Type: Direct Hire
Schedule Information
- Monday – Wednesday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday – Friday: 6:45 AM – 3:00 PM
- 35–40 hours per week
Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS certification preferred (required upon hire if not currently held)
- PALS certification preferred (required upon hire if not currently held)
- Surgical nursing experience preferred
- Experience with sedation, recovery, oral surgery, or procedural nursing highly preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients before, during, and after oral surgery procedures
- Review patient medical histories and assess readiness for surgery
- Start and monitor IV therapy as needed
- Assist with patient preparation and recovery following surgical procedures and sedation
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Provide discharge instructions and recovery education to patients and family members
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records
- Collaborate with surgeons and clinical staff to ensure exceptional patient care
- Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards
- Support daily clinical operations in a busy surgical practice
- Promote a positive patient experience through compassionate and professional care
