Customer Service Specialist Job Details
Pay Rate: $44,000–$55,000 annually (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Hybrid Schedule (Work From Home Mondays & Fridays)
Location: Florence, KY
Requirements of the Customer Service Specialist
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of customer service experience required
- Manufacturing experience or mechanical aptitude preferred
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to confidently handle high-pressure situations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work within multiple computer systems
- Must live within commuting distance of Florence, KY
- Professional phone, email, and customer service skills
Responsibilities of the Customer Service Specialist
- Process customer orders and perform order entry functions
- Coordinate shipments and delivery schedules between manufacturing and customers
- Serve as a liaison between customers, sales representatives, and internal departments
- Support assigned sales territories by providing quotes, delivery information, and product support
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels
- Assist customers in identifying products that best meet their needs
- Track orders and communicate delivery updates, delays, backorders, or substitutions
- Coordinate resolution of customer complaints with appropriate departments
- Process RMAs and complete administrative tasks such as scanning and document indexing
- Work closely with credit, collections, purchasing, sales, and shipping teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and customer satisfaction efforts
