Commercial Furniture Installer / General Laborer Job Details
Lexington, KY
Pay: $15.00 – $17.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Typically 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Commercial Furniture Installer / General Laborer Requirements
- Valid driver's license required
- Clean driving record required
- Willingness to travel, including trips up to 5 days at a time
- Basic knowledge of hand tools preferred
- Previous warehouse, installation, construction, moving, or general labor experience preferred
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move furniture and materials throughout the workday
- Strong attendance and dependable work ethic
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
- Professional attitude when working at customer locations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Steel-toed shoes required
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and install commercial office furniture, including desks, cubicles, shelving, seating, and filing systems
- Assemble, disassemble, and reconfigure furniture using hand tools
- Read and follow layouts, blueprints, and installation instructions
- Load, unload, and transport furniture, equipment, and materials safely
- Assist with office relocations and furniture reconfiguration projects
- Organize, stage, and warehouse incoming products and materials
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas on job sites and in the warehouse
- Interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and project managers
- Follow all company safety procedures and installation guidelines
- Support additional warehouse, delivery, and installation duties as assigned
