Secondary Operator / Assembler
Monday – Friday | 2nd Shift: 1:45PM-10:15PM | $15.75
Secondary Operator / Assembler Requirements
● High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
● One to three years of related manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
● Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints, work instructions, and production documents
● Ability to use hand tools, including files, scrapers, wrenches, and assembly tools
● Ability to perform assembly operations involving bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, and other fasteners
● Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
● Ability to read, write, and understand basic English, including safety rules and operating instructions
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
● Ability to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and adapt to routine production tasks
● Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts

About the Secondary Operator / Assembler Role
As a Secondary Operator / Assembler, your responsibilities will include:
● Assembling metal products, components, and cylinders according to blueprints, work instructions, and production specifications
● Fastening parts together using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, and other assembly hardware
● Removing small quantities of metal using hand files and scrapers to achieve proper fit and finish between parts
● Operating drill presses, punch presses, automated equipment, and riveting machines to support assembly operations
● Performing forming operations on metal stampings and fabricated components
● Monitoring product quality throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with specifications
● Inspecting parts visually and using fixed gauges to identify manufacturing defects and verify quality standards
● Recording production quantities and completing required production documentation accurately
● Following all workplace safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work area free of debris
● Assisting with additional production duties and special assignments as directed by management
