Customer Service Representative Requirements/Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical/technical service and/or customer service
Working knowledge of personal computers
Knowledge of sales principles
Resume required
Interview required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
College degree in Business, Communications, or Marketing preferred
Technical or vocational training of a mechanical/technical nature preferred
Foreign language skills preferred

About the Customer Service Representative Role

As a Customer Service Representative, your responsibilities will include:

Respond to customer inquiries by phone and written correspondence
Enter and process customer orders accurately
Troubleshoot technical, mechanical, and application-related issues
Coordinate finished product and parts orders
Follow up with customers to resolve issues and clarify expectations
Process warranty claims, credits, returns, and replacement orders
Maintain information on sales programs and promotions
Support inbound sales opportunities and qualify sales leads
Communicate with customers, distributors, national accounts, sales representatives, and internal departments
Analyze problems and implement effective solutions
Participate in process improvement initiatives
Assist with inventory and order coordination as needed
Support training programs
Travel as required
Perform other duties as assigned
