Crown Staffing is urgently hiring for a Slitter Machine Operator in Garfield Heights, OH!
Slitter Machine Operator Job Details
Schedule: Train on 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM), then move to 2nd Shift (3:00 PM-11:00 PM) for additional training before transitioning to 3rd Shift
Pay Rate: $25.00-$28.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Location: Fairfield, OH
Slitter Machine Operator Requirements/Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- 2-3+ years of manufacturing machine operating experience preferred
- Experience with high-speed slitting, rewinding, converting, or web-handling equipment preferred
- Previous machining experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read production blueprints
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Previous Power Industrial Truck experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
- Clean background required
- 10-panel drug screen required
About the Slitter Machine Operator Role
As a Slitter Machine Operator, your responsibilities will include:
- Set up, program, and operate high-speed slitting and converting machinery
- Perform complex machine setups and technical changeovers
- Adjust tension controls, mandrels, and slitting blades
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools
- Maintain and replace machine tooling and cutting blades
- Stage materials and load master rolls onto machinery
- Follow all lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures and workplace safety standards
- Train and coach new Slitter Machine Operators
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
