Registered Nurse – CVICU
Somerset, KY
Pay: $42.00/hour
Travel Assignment | 13 Weeks
Schedule Information
- Night Shift
- 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Registered Nurse Requirements
- Current RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
- CVICU or cardiovascular critical care nursing experience required
- Strong patient assessment, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, infusion management, and clinical documentation skills
- Experience caring for critically ill cardiovascular patients in a high-acuity setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- ACLS and other critical care certifications preferred based on facility requirements
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced critical care environment while maintaining professionalism and quality patient care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity cardiovascular critical care nursing to patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention
- Complete comprehensive patient assessments and monitor cardiac and hemodynamic status throughout the shift
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and critical care infusions accurately and safely
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and support urgent or emergent interventions
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record
- Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards throughout the shift
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced CVICU environment
