Material Handler
Shelbyville, KY
Pay: $21.50/hour
Temp-to-Hire | 1st Shift
Schedule Information
- Monday–Thursday
- 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Material Handler Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous material handling, warehouse, or forklift experience preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain company forklift certification
- OSHA 10 certification, First Aid/CPR certification, and a valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Experience using scanners, inventory devices, and basic computer systems preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Key Responsibilities
- Safely move materials, products, and equipment throughout the warehouse and production areas
- Load and unload trucks, pallets, racks, and storage locations using forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Read work orders and follow verbal and written instructions to transport materials accurately
- Perform inventory counts, stock checks, and maintain accurate documentation
- Weigh materials and record quantities on production reports, tags, or labels as required
- Deliver raw materials to production lines and maintain organized storage areas
- Perform routine forklift inspections and basic equipment maintenance
- Assist with receiving incoming materials and unloading deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures while supporting production goals
