Material Handler
Whitestown, IN
Pay: $17.00/hour
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire | 1st Shift
Schedule Information
- Wednesday – Saturday
- 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Material Handler Requirements
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience preferred but not required
- Ability to read and interpret instructions from computer screens and handheld devices
- Comfortable using warehouse software, monitors, and automated equipment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately identify and sort products
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and work assignments
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, sort, and organize products within an automated warehouse environment using computer systems and warehouse equipment
- Follow established safety procedures while operating efficiently in a fast-paced distribution center
- Rotate between multiple warehouse work areas, including pallet picking, flow rack, and semi-automated lanes as business needs require
- Monitor inventory accuracy while helping reduce product loss and maintain quality standards
- Read and follow computer-generated picking instructions to ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing routine housekeeping and properly disposing of waste and recyclable materials
- Collaborate with team members to support efficient warehouse operations and meet daily productivity goals
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned to support the overall success of the operation
