Radiation Therapist – Days
Georgetown, KY
Pay: $36.00/hour
Position Type: Travel Assignment | 13 Weeks
Schedule Information
- Day Shift
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Radiation Therapist Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program required
- Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy [T] required
- Current Kentucky license required or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Minimum of 1–3 years of recent radiation therapy experience required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Experience operating radiation treatment equipment and oncology information systems
- Strong patient care, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced oncology environment while maintaining professionalism and patient safety
Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed radiation treatments in accordance with physician orders and approved treatment plans
- Accurately position patients and verify treatment parameters prior to each procedure
- Operate radiation therapy equipment while ensuring safe and effective treatment delivery
- Monitor patients throughout treatments and report any concerns or changes in condition to the oncology team
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation within the oncology information system and electronic medical record
- Follow all radiation safety protocols and infection prevention guidelines
- Assist patients with positioning and provide compassionate support throughout the treatment process
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other members of the oncology care team to deliver exceptional patient care
