RN – Labor & Delivery / OB-GYN
Lebanon, KY
Pay: $38.00/hour
Position Type: 13-Week Contract | Night Shift
Schedule Information
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 12-hour night shifts
- Contract dates: Approximately 13 weeks
Labor & Delivery / OB-GYN RN Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Recent Labor & Delivery, OB/GYN, or comparable women’s services nursing experience required
- Strong knowledge of maternal and fetal care practices
- Ability to perform maternal and fetal assessments and recognize changes in patient condition
- Experience interpreting fetal monitoring information within RN scope of practice
- Experience administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively during labor, delivery, and obstetric emergencies
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment

- Medication administration equipment
- Electronic medical records (EMR)
- Standard Labor & Delivery equipment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to Labor & Delivery and OB/GYN patients according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Assess maternal and fetal conditions and monitor labor progression
- Interpret fetal monitoring information and communicate concerns appropriately
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as needed
- Assist physicians and healthcare teams during labor and delivery procedures
- Provide immediate postpartum and newborn support
- Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care
- Respond quickly to obstetric emergencies and changing patient conditions
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Assist with patient positioning, mobility, and other physical care needs
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to provide quality patient care
- Perform additional nursing duties as assigned
