Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Louisville, KY
Base Pay: $18.94/hour
Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule Information
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM–3:15 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM–11:15 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM–7:15 AM
- Weekend Differential: Additional $1.00/hour for all weekend hours
Additional Pay Differentials
- CNA Certification: +$0.75/hour
- Associate Degree: +$1.25/hour
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree: +$1.75/hour
- 2nd Shift Differential: +$0.60/hour
Direct Support Professional Requirements
- Compassionate and patient approach to working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Ability to assist individuals with activities of daily living
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide supervision, guidance, and encouragement
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to maintain accurate daily documentation
- Previous experience in direct support, healthcare, caregiving, or human services is preferred but not required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and guidance to residents during skill-building activities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating as needed
- Promote independence and encourage individuals to become more self-reliant
- Develop positive relationships with residents and create a safe, supportive environment
- Assist individuals in developing skills related to nutrition, hygiene, exercise, communication, and socialization
- Support residents during daily activities and encourage participation in appropriate programs and activities
- Monitor and respond to individual needs while maintaining a safe environment
- Complete accurate and timely resident case notes and daily documentation
- Follow established care plans, safety procedures, and facility guidelines
- Perform additional duties as assigned
