Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ultrasound/sonography experience required
- Ability to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound procedures, imaging techniques, and patient positioning
- Ability to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff
- Knowledge of infection-control procedures and proper imaging documentation
- Ability to accurately document examinations and maintain patient records

Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and department protocols
- Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures
- Explain procedures and provide appropriate instructions to patients
- Select and use appropriate imaging techniques to obtain diagnostic-quality images
- Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to their needs
- Document completed examinations and maintain accurate patient and imaging records
- Follow infection-control, safety, and quality-assurance procedures
- Communicate concerns or relevant findings to the appropriate healthcare professionals according to department protocol
- Maintain imaging equipment and work areas in accordance with facility standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
