Labor & Delivery RN Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience required
- Strong knowledge of maternal and fetal assessment
- Experience monitoring labor progression and responding to obstetric emergencies
- Ability to administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered care
- Ability to accurately document patient care using electronic medical records

- IV pumps
- Maternal monitoring equipment
- Neonatal emergency equipment
- Electronic medical record systems
- Standard Labor and Delivery equipment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Perform maternal and fetal assessments and monitor patient status
- Monitor labor progression and identify changes requiring intervention
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with deliveries and procedures
- Respond quickly and appropriately to obstetric emergencies
- Provide education and support to patients and families throughout the labor and delivery process
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Maintain a safe and supportive patient care environment
- Perform additional nursing duties as assigned
