Physical Therapist Requirements
- At least one year of physical therapy experience
- Ability to evaluate patients’ mobility, strength, balance, range of motion, and functional limitations
- Ability to develop and modify individualized treatment plans
- Experience with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, transfers, and gait activities
- Ability to use electronic medical records and standard rehabilitation equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary staff
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, reach, and demonstrate therapeutic exercises
- Ability to assist patients with transfers, positioning, and mobility
- Ability to safely move or position rehabilitation equipment
- Must be comfortable assisting patients with significant mobility limitations
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ mobility, strength, balance, range of motion, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training.
- Assist patients with transfers and gait activities.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and safety techniques.
- Document patient treatment, progress, and outcomes accurately.
- Communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary rehabilitation staff.
- Modify treatment plans based on patient response and clinical goals.
- Use gait belts, walkers, mobility devices, treatment tables, transfer equipment, and other rehabilitation equipment safely.
