Schedule Information
- Day shift
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- 8:30 AM–7:00 PM
- 13-week assignment
CT Technologist Requirements
- At least three years of relevant experience
- Current ARRT certification with the required CT credential
- Current BLS certification
- Applicable Kentucky radiology credential
- Experience performing diagnostic CT examinations
- Knowledge of radiation-safety and infection-control procedures
- Ability to prepare and position patients correctly
- Experience administering contrast when authorized and required
- Ability to obtain diagnostic-quality images
- Experience using PACS and electronic medical records
- Ability to operate CT scanners, contrast-delivery systems, and standard diagnostic-imaging equipment
- Strong patient-care, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to physician orders.
- Follow facility procedures and imaging-quality standards.
- Prepare and position patients for examinations.
- Explain procedures and answer patient questions.
- Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment.
- Administer contrast when authorized and required.
- Obtain and evaluate diagnostic-quality images.
- Follow all radiation-safety and infection-control procedures.
- Document completed examinations accurately.
- Maintain imaging records in PACS and electronic medical records.
- Monitor patients and communicate concerns or changes in condition to appropriate clinical staff.
- Use radiation-protection and patient-positioning equipment correctly.
