Schedule Information
- Day shift
- 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- 12-hour shifts
- 13-week assignment
RN – NICU Requirements
- Active Kentucky RN license or applicable compact-state license required
- Active BLS certification required
- Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required
- At least two years of NICU nursing experience required
- Strong neonatal assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Experience administering neonatal medications and IV therapies
- Knowledge of neonatal feeding, respiratory support, and monitoring
- Ability to recognize and respond to changes in neonatal condition
- Strong clinical-documentation and family-education skills
- Experience using electronic medical records
- Effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork abilities
- Compassionate and family-centered approach to neonatal care
- Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and clinical standards
- All licenses and certifications must be verified before submission
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients requiring specialized monitoring and treatment.
- Complete comprehensive neonatal assessments.
- Monitor vital signs, oxygen levels, and changes in patient condition.
- Recognize and respond promptly to neonatal emergencies and clinical changes.
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments safely.
- Establish, monitor, and maintain IV therapies.
- Assist with neonatal feeding and nutritional-support needs.
- Provide and monitor oxygen and respiratory-support interventions.
- Operate incubators, warmers, monitors, and other NICU equipment.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate neonatal environment.
- Support physicians and other clinical professionals during procedures.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized nursing care plans.
- Educate and support parents and family members.
- Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation.
- Follow all medication-safety, infection-control, and facility procedures.
- Coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary clinical staff.
- Perform additional NICU nursing duties as assigned.

About the RN – NICU Role
Crown Staffing is hiring an experienced NICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week, day-shift assignment in Somerset, KY. This position provides specialized nursing care to neonatal patients requiring close monitoring, medication administration, IV therapy, feeding assistance,
respiratory support, and family education.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of NICU nursing experience, strong neonatal-assessment skills, and active RN, BLS, and NRP credentials.
