Job Description
Requirements of the Cook:
– Entry-level
– Ability to work in a nursing home/rehabilitation facility
-HS diploma or GED
-Ability to read and follow recipes
– Background: No felonies ever
Responsibilities
– Maintain kitchecn and cooking area in safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary manner
– Ability to prepare tasteful means and to cook in large quantities
– Ability to perpare special diets accuractely
– Ability to follow prepared menus and portion control guides
– Record food temps for meals
– Prepare pureed foods
– Assist in serving different meals
– Ability to make the presentation of foods appetizing
