Schedule Information
- Night shift
- 13-week assignment
Certified Respiratory Therapist Requirements
- At least two years of respiratory therapy experience
- Required respiratory therapy credential
- Active Kentucky respiratory care license
- Current BLS certification
- Experience providing respiratory treatments and ventilatory support
- Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and respond to respiratory emergencies
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ respiratory status and monitor changes in condition.
- Provide respiratory care according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, and prescribed respiratory treatments.
- Assist with airway management and ventilatory support.
- Monitor patients’ responses to therapy and report concerns promptly.
- Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment.
- Respond to respiratory emergencies.
- Document treatments, patient responses, and outcomes accurately.
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff.
