Machine Operator – Drill/Saw Job Details
Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | $26.00/Hour
Overtime possible and mandatory based on production needs
Machine Operator – Drill/Saw Requirements
- Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently
About the Machine Operator – Drill/Saw Role
As a Machine Operator – Drill/Saw, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and safely operating steel saw equipment
- Operating a radial drill press to complete production requirements
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Laying out measurements on materials according to supplied blueprints
- Measuring materials and finished components for dimensional accuracy
- Using rulers, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring gauges
- Performing basic calculations required for machining and material preparation
- Using an overhead crane to move and position production materials
- Loading and positioning materials for saw and drill operations
- Monitoring machine operation to maintain accuracy and product quality
- Inspecting completed work to ensure dimensions meet specifications
- Following established steel saw and drill press safety procedures
- Maintaining an organized and safe machine operating area
- Communicating production, quality, or equipment concerns as needed
- Performing additional machine operation and production duties as assigned
