Cook Job Details
Flexible Schedule | Hours Vary | Pay Rate: $19.50/hr
- Schedule flexibility required based on business needs, including varying shifts and days.
Cook Requirements
- Previous experience as a Cook or in a related food preparation role required
- Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and various cooking methods
- Ability to wear required uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
About the Cook Role
As a Cook, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and production guidelines
- Using various cooking methods to prepare meals and menu items
- Preparing ingredients and organizing food preparation areas
- Following proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures
- Maintaining established food safety standards
- Measuring and portioning ingredients accurately
- Monitoring food quality, freshness, temperature, and presentation
- Safely operating kitchen equipment and cooking tools
- Maintaining clean and sanitary food preparation areas
- Properly storing ingredients and prepared foods
- Following workplace and kitchen safety procedures
- Wearing required uniforms and PPE
- Working with kitchen and food service team members to complete daily meal preparation
- Supporting food production and service during busy periods
- Performing additional cooking and food preparation duties as assigned
