Street Maintenance Worker
Clarksville, IN
Pay: $16.04/hour
Pay: $16.04/hour
Schedule Information
- Monday–Friday
- 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- Overtime is required when routes are not completed within the scheduled shift
Street Maintenance Worker Requirements
- Ability to perform continuous hands-on physical work
- Ability to repeatedly lift, move, and empty residential garbage containers
- Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to maintain a steady work pace throughout the route
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow driver and supervisor instructions
- Commitment to traffic, equipment, and workplace-safety procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Collect residential garbage along assigned routes.
- Work as one of two collection workers assigned to a three-person truck crew.
- Move and empty residential garbage containers into the collection truck.
- Assist with servicing approximately 400 residences per route.
- Maintain a steady and efficient pace throughout the workday.
- Follow instructions provided by the truck driver and route supervisor.
- Watch for traffic, pedestrians, and other safety hazards.
- Report unsafe conditions, damaged containers, or route concerns.
- Assist with keeping the collection truck and work areas clean.
- Remain on duty until the assigned route is completed.
- Perform additional street-maintenance and sanitation duties as assigned.
About the Street Maintenance Worker Role
Crown Staffing is hiring Street Maintenance Workers for residential garbage-collection routes in Clarksville, IN. Each truck crew includes one company driver and two collection workers. This is a physically active position that requires teamwork, dependable attendance, and the ability to complete assigned routes safely and efficiently.
This position does not require driving the collection truck.
