Winchester, KY
Pay: $40.05/hour

Schedule Information

Operating Room RN Requirements
- Minimum of two years of recent Operating Room or perioperative nursing experience
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical safety procedures
- Experience circulating during surgical cases
- Ability to complete comprehensive preoperative patient assessments
- Experience monitoring patients throughout surgical procedures
- Knowledge of surgical counts, specimen handling, and required documentation
- Ability to administer medications and treatments within nursing scope and facility policy
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
- Ability to respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Strong attention to patient safety and procedural accuracy
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Complete preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
- Prepare the operating room, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow all infection-control requirements.
- Circulate during surgical cases.
- Assist surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other clinical team members as appropriate.
- Monitor patient condition throughout surgical procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments within scope and facility policy.
- Complete required surgical counts and patient-safety checks.
- Handle, label, and document surgical specimens correctly.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical and procedural documentation.
- Assist with patient transfers to the recovery area.
- Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team.
- Perform additional perioperative nursing duties as assigned.
