Maintenance Assistant – Shelving Assembly & Installation
Frankfort, KY
Pay: $18.00/hour
Work Area: Building 1

Schedule Information

  • Monday–Friday
  • 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Maintenance Assistant Requirements

  • Experience assembling and installing shelving
  • Ability to safely use bench and portable power tools
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and general maintenance skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal installation instructions
  • Strong attention to measurements, alignment, and installation quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Commitment to equipment-safety and workplace-safety procedures

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with assembling and installing shelving throughout Building 1.
  • Prepare shelving components, tools, and installation areas.
  • Follow layouts, measurements, and installation instructions.
  • Use bench tools, portable power tools, and hand tools safely.
  • Position, align, and secure shelving components.
  • Inspect completed shelving to ensure it is properly assembled and securely installed.
  • Report damaged materials, missing parts, and installation concerns.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Return tools and unused materials to their designated locations.
  • Support additional maintenance projects as assigned.
