Electrical Assembly Technician
$25.50hr
Monday – Thursday 2:15pm-12:45am
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Electrical Assembly Technician with electrical wiring experience to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable reading work instructions, inspecting parts, assembling products according to specifications, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Job Responsibilities
  • Obtain work orders from your Lead Person.
  • Review the Bill of Materials (BOM) for descriptions, quantities, and parts required to build the product.
  • Read routing instructions carefully and report labor against the proper sequence.
  • Review work orders for special instructions and ask the Lead Person or Supervisor for clarification when needed.
  • Request production assembly drawings from the Lead Person, Supervisor, or Inspector when required.
  • Inspect all parts as they are being used to ensure they meet requirements.
  • Inspect flanges (the joint between the body and cover) 100% using a .0015 feeler gauge. The gauge must not penetrate deeper than 1/8 inch maximum.
  • Check for porosity, torn threads, damaged paint, missing features, and other defects according to routings, drawings, and supervisor instructions.
  • Lubricate all indicated threaded areas.
  • Remove nonconforming or questionable materials and place them in designated areas until a determination can be made.
  • Communicate assembly issues, including defective parts, equipment, fixtures, tools, drawings, or unclear work instructions, to the Lead Person, Supervisor, or Inspector for corrective action.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Return consumable parts to their proper locations after completing each work order.
  • Return special tools, equipment, and drawings to their designated locations.
  • Use downtime productively by restocking bins with consumable parts, cleaning the work area, and preparing for the next work order or assignment.
Requirements
  • Previous electrical wiring or electrical assembly experience required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 35 lbs. continuously.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, routings, drawings, and assembly specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to identify and communicate production or quality issues.
  • Ability to work independently while following direction from Leads and Supervisors.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
