Job Description
Crown Staffing is urgently hiring for a Forklift Operator / Order Picker.
Forklift Operator / Order Picker Job Details
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.50–$18.00/hr
Location: Columbus, OH
Forklift Operator / Order Picker Requirements/Qualifications
- Previous order picking experience required.
- Previous stand-up forklift experience required.
- Ability to accurately pull customer orders using a stand-up forklift.
- Ability to read and follow pick sheets.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and division.
- Good understanding of different units of measure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow established warehouse and forklift safety procedures.
About the Forklift Operator / Order Picker Role
As a Forklift Operator / Order Picker, your responsibilities will include:
- Operate a stand-up forklift to accurately pick customer orders.
- Pull products according to pick sheets and order requirements.
- Build pallets and prepare completed orders for shipment.
- Record order changes or missing products on pick sheets.
- Communicate missing or out-of-stock products to the appropriate team members.
- Complete daily preventative maintenance checks on the forklift.
- Report mechanical or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate and organized order documentation.
- Sweep, mop, and perform other general housekeeping duties as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
- Communicate and cooperate with management and coworkers.
- Perform additional warehouse and forklift duties as assigned.
