Crown Staffing is urgently hiring for a Material Handler.
Material Handler Job Details
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00/hr
Location: Crittenden, KY
Material Handler Requirements/Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Sit-down and/or stand-up forklift experience required.
- Previous shipping and receiving experience required.
- Ability to accurately load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
- Ability to safely operate powered and manual material-handling equipment.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Jeans, T-shirt, and steel-toed shoes required.
- Camo clothing is not permitted.
About the Material Handler Role
As a Material Handler, your responsibilities will include:
- Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts.
- Operate powered and manual material-handling equipment.
- Receive incoming products and prepare outgoing shipments.
- Accurately load and unload trucks.
- Maintain materials in a clean, neat, and organized manner.
- Ensure proper stock rotation.
- Perform frequent and accurate inventory cycle counts.
- Supply departments with required materials and stock.
- Support machine and assembly line changeovers.
- Locate and pick inventory for customer orders.
- Use a scan gun to accurately process customer orders.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory information.
- Work with multiple departments to support daily production needs.
- Provide hands-on job function assistance to coworkers as needed.
- Follow established workplace and equipment safety procedures.
- Perform additional material-handling duties as assigned.
