Material Handler Job Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

Location: Crittenden, KY

Material Handler Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Previous forklift experience required; sit-down and/or stand-up forklift experience accepted.
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Experience with shipping and receiving operations required.
Ability to accurately and safely load and unload trucks.
Experience operating powered and manual material handling equipment.
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
Ability to perform repetitive pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping.
Experience with inventory management and stock rotation.
Ability to accurately complete inventory cycle counts.
Experience using RF scanners or scan guns preferred.
Basic computer skills preferred.
Ability to locate, pick, and organize materials accurately.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors throughout different weather conditions.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow OSHA and company safety standards.
Steel-toe safety footwear required.
Ability to work mandatory overtime when scheduled, including shifts up to 10 hours.
Excellent attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic required.

About the Material Handler Role

As a Material Handler, your responsibilities will include:

Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to transport materials throughout the facility.
Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming products for accuracy.
Prepare and organize materials for outgoing customer shipments.
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
Operate powered and manual material handling equipment according to safety standards.
Organize warehouse materials and maintain proper stock rotation.
Perform frequent inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
Locate and pick materials for customer orders.
Use RF scanners to track and process customer orders.
Supply production departments with materials needed for daily operations.
Support machine changeovers and assembly lines by delivering required stock.
Move, stack, and organize heavy materials throughout the facility.
Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
Assist with shipping and receiving activities in indoor and outdoor work areas.
Monitor material handling equipment and report safety concerns.
Adapt to changing production priorities and departmental needs.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and production areas.
Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
Complete additional material handling and warehouse duties as assigned.
