Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Job Description
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and storing materials throughout the facility. This position supports inbound and outbound operations, maintains accurate inventory records, and ensures products are handled efficiently while meeting safety, quality, and production standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move products throughout the facility.
- Load and unload materials from trailers and designated storage areas.
- Accurately pick, pack, inspect, and transport products to appropriate locations.
- Move palletized or crated materials and stack loads in designated storage bays according to inventory procedures.
- Assist with inbound and outbound shipments to ensure schedules and deadlines are met.
- Use RF scanners and other equipment to track inventory and document material movements.
- Complete required paperwork, forms, and production records accurately.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report maintenance needs or safety concerns to management.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Identify and report production issues, damaged products, and process improvement opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to maintain an organized and efficient work environment.
- Cross-train on additional duties as needed.
- Work overtime when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least one year of related work experience.
- Previous forklift operating experience or OSHA-compliant forklift training preferred.
- RF scanner experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and mathematical abilities.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to follow instructions from multiple supervisors and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Spanish language skills preferred; may be required in certain locations.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive manual tasks as needed.
- Ability to use hands for gripping and operating equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow safety instructions.
- Sufficient vision to safely operate equipment and handle materials, including depth perception and peripheral vision.
