Maintenance Assistant – Shelving Assembly & Installation
Frankfort, KY
Pay: $18.00/hour

- 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- 1st shift
Maintenance Assistant Requirements
- Previous shelving assembly and installation experience
- Ability to safely use bench tools, portable power tools and standard hand tools
- Basic mechanical aptitude and general maintenance skills
- Ability to read measurements and follow installation layouts
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to alignment, stability and installation quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to equipment and workplace-safety procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with assembling and installing shelving throughout the facility.
- Prepare shelving components, tools and installation areas.
- Review layouts, measurements and installation instructions before beginning work.
- Measure and mark installation locations accurately.
- Position, align and secure shelving components.
- Use bench tools, portable power tools and hand tools safely.
- Inspect completed shelving to ensure it is properly assembled, level and securely installed.
- Identify and report damaged materials, missing components and installation concerns.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
- Return tools and unused materials to their designated storage areas.
- Keep installation areas clean, organized and free of safety hazards.
- Support additional maintenance and facility projects as assigned.
