Shipping Associate
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Mandatory Overtime: Must be available to work until 4:30 PM when overtime is required

Position Summary
The Shipping Associate is responsible for ensuring customer orders are accurate, complete, and ready for shipment. This position verifies order contents, scans packages using RF scanners and warehouse management systems, and processes shipments through dimensioning and labeling equipment. The Shipping Associate plays an important role in maintaining shipping accuracy, operational efficiency, and on-time customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Order Verification
- Verify customer orders against packing lists and system records for accuracy and completeness.
- Confirm correct quantities, products, and packaging before shipment.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies by working with picking, QA, and warehouse leadership.
Scanning & System Processing
- Scan orders and packages using handheld RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Ensure orders are properly processed through shipping systems before release to carriers.
- Maintain accurate system updates to support order tracking and shipment visibility.
Dimensioning & Labeling
- Operate dimensioning equipment to capture package size and weight for shipping calculations.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled and meet carrier shipping requirements.
- Monitor equipment for proper operation and report any issues as needed.
Shipping Operations Support
- Stage completed orders for shipment and assist with loading preparation.
- Ensure orders are processed according to shipping schedules and carrier requirements.
- Maintain organized shipping lanes and staging areas.
Quality & Accuracy
- Maintain high standards of order accuracy and attention to detail.
- Identify process improvements to reduce shipping errors and delays.
- Follow all company safety standards and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or distribution experience preferred.
- Ability to operate RF scanners and warehouse systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency.
- Must be able to speak, understand, and write English.
- Must be available for mandatory overtime until 4:30 PM when required.
Preferred
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Experience with dimensioning equipment or parcel shipping systems.
- Experience working with multiple shipping carriers, including UPS, FedEx, and LTL.
