Floor Manager Requirements/Qualifications
- Fluent bilingual communication skills required.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong people-management and leadership skills.
- Strong development and oversight skills.
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining operational control.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coach, counsel, and develop employees.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

About the Floor Manager Role
As a Floor Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee the daily workflow and operations of the department.
- Work with employees and leadership to ensure optimal shop floor efficiency.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new staff.
- Select, train, assign, coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Oversee the performance and development of lead operators and operators.
- Delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of daily operations.
- Ensure company safety, health, quality, and operational policies are followed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Forecast department requirements, analyze variances, identify root causes, and initiate corrective actions.
- Analyze and improve organizational processes, workflow, employee requirements, space utilization, and equipment layout.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment while following applicable regulations and company standards.
- Ensure operating policies and current issues are communicated through department and stand-up meetings.
- Work closely with the inventory control team to improve inventory utilization and control material loss.
- Contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans.
- Maintain knowledge of industry practices and participate in training and professional development.
- Oversee all aspects of vehicle and heavy equipment rentals assigned to the department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
