Maintenance Mechanic
Shelbyville, KY
Pay: $29.00 – $37.00/hour
Position Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Schedule Information
- 1st Shift
- Schedule based on facility needs
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience required
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron preferred)
- Experience with motor controls, 480V, and 3-phase electrical systems
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, diagrams, and documentation
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and equipment reliability
- Electrical certification (Cat 2 or equivalent) preferred
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems, fabrication, or machine shop work preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment
- Install, maintain, and repair manufacturing and auxiliary equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system issues
- Support preventative maintenance programs and equipment rebuilds
- Maintain facility and utility equipment to ensure reliable operations
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment issues
- Assist with training and support of maintenance team members
- Complete maintenance projects to improve equipment performance and efficiency
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety and quality standards
- Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned
