Schedule Information

Emergency Department RN Requirements
- Active Kentucky RN license or qualifying multistate compact license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience required
- Recent Emergency Department experience preferred
- Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
- Experience establishing and managing IV access
- Proficiency with medication administration and emergency treatments
- Ability to recognize and respond to urgent changes in patient condition
- Experience assisting with emergency and trauma procedures
- Strong clinical-documentation and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with physicians, EMS personnel, and interdisciplinary staff
- Ability to operate standard Emergency Department and resuscitation equipment safely
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients during the night shift.
- Rapidly assess and triage patients according to clinical urgency.
- Monitor vital signs and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments.
- Establish, maintain, and monitor IV access.
- Assist with emergency, trauma, and resuscitation procedures.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies.
- Operate cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, and respiratory equipment.
- Use emergency and resuscitation equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic clinical documentation.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Coordinate care with physicians, EMS personnel, and other clinical staff.
- Follow all patient-safety, infection-control, and Emergency Department procedures.
- Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.
About the Emergency Department RN Role
Crown Staffing is hiring an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a 5.5-week, night-shift contract opportunity in Mayfield, KY. This position provides fast-paced emergency nursing care through patient assessment, triage, monitoring, medication administration, IV therapy, and emergency response.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of nursing experience, with recent Emergency Department experience preferred. Candidates must hold an active RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
