Schedule Information
- Night shift
- 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- 13-week assignment
CT Technologist Requirements
- Minimum of two years of recent CT imaging experience
- Current ARRT certification
- CT credentialing required
- Current BLS certification
- Applicable Kentucky radiology license
- Knowledge of CT imaging protocols and procedures
- Experience preparing and positioning patients for examinations
- Knowledge of contrast administration within the technologist’s scope of practice
- Strong understanding of radiation-safety and infection-control procedures
- Strong attention to patient safety and diagnostic image quality
- Accurate clinical documentation and recordkeeping skills
- Effective communication with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff
Key Responsibilities
- Perform CT and diagnostic-imaging examinations according to physician orders and facility procedures.
- Identify, prepare, position, and educate patients before examinations.
- Operate CT imaging equipment safely and accurately.
- Select appropriate imaging protocols based on examination requirements.
- Obtain diagnostic-quality images that meet facility standards.
- Administer contrast within the technologist’s scope and facility policy when applicable.
- Monitor patients and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
- Follow all radiation-safety, infection-control, and patient-care procedures.
- Document examinations and maintain accurate patient and imaging records.
- Transfer and manage diagnostic images using PACS.
- Communicate significant findings or patient-condition changes to the appropriate clinical staff.
- Perform additional diagnostic-imaging duties as assigned.
