MRI Technologist
Georgetown, KY
Pay: $28.35/hour

MRI Technologist Requirements
- Minimum of one year of recent MRI technologist experience
- Knowledge of MRI safety-screening and imaging protocols
- Ability to operate MRI equipment and obtain diagnostic-quality images
- Experience preparing and positioning patients for MRI examinations
- Knowledge of contrast-administration and infection-control procedures
- Strong attention to patient safety and image quality
- Accurate clinical documentation and recordkeeping skills
- Effective communication with patients, radiologists, and other clinical staff
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Complete required MRI safety screenings before each examination.
- Explain procedures and prepare patients for imaging.
- Position patients and select appropriate MRI coils and protocols.
- Operate MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
- Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond to safety concerns.
- Administer contrast when authorized and required.
- Review images for quality and completeness.
- Maintain accurate patient and imaging records.
- Transfer and manage images using PACS.
- Follow MRI safety, infection-control, and patient-care procedures.
- Communicate appropriately with radiologists and other members of the clinical team.
- Perform additional imaging duties as assigned.
