Registered Nurse – Pediatrics Requirements
- At least two years of nursing experience
- Ability to assess and provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients
- Strong medication-administration and clinical-documentation skills
- Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent changes in a patient’s condition
- Experience using electronic medical records
- Ability to educate and support pediatric patients and their families
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Experience using patient-monitoring equipment, infusion pumps, medication-administration systems, and respiratory-support equipment
- Commitment to patient-safety, infection-control, and medication-administration procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients during the night shift.
- Complete comprehensive patient assessments.
- Monitor vital signs and changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate and support pediatric patients and their families.
- Respond appropriately to urgent changes in patient condition.
- Follow all facility patient-safety and infection-control procedures.
- Safely operate standard pediatric nursing, monitoring, infusion, and respiratory-support equipment.
