Job Description
Commercial Furniture Installer / General Laborer
Lexington, KY
Pay: Starting at $16.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire | 1st Shift
Schedule Information
- Monday – Friday
- Typical Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required
Commercial Furniture Installer / General Laborer Requirements
- Previous general labor, installation, warehouse, or moving experience preferred
- Ability to safely lift, carry, assemble, and move commercial furniture throughout the workday
- Basic knowledge of hand tools preferred
- Valid driver's license preferred (driving responsibilities available as experience increases)
- Strong attendance, reliability, and work ethic
- Professional attitude and excellent customer service while working at client locations
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, layouts, and installation plans
- Steel-toed boots required
- Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and perform physical work for extended periods
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery and installation of commercial office furniture at customer locations
- Load and unload furniture, materials, and equipment from company trucks
- Assemble desks, workstations, shelving, filing systems, seating, and other office furniture using basic hand tools
- Read and follow installation layouts, blueprints, and manufacturer instructions
- Organize, receive, and warehouse furniture and installation materials
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites while following all safety procedures
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers and team members
- Assist with driving company trucks to job sites as responsibilities increase
